New Years

Tuesday, January 02, 2007
I was gonna post this yesterday, but then I started to chat with Roberta and...well, just never got around to it.

New Years Eve was amazing! It was the best New Years Eve I've ever had. I spent it with Nick, his mom, Jordan, Nick's cousin Alex, and of course Nick. We went bowling, which I suck at. It was still fun though.

First, when we got there, we had to wait in this line that was going out the door. It wasn't that cold so it didn't matter, but Nick's Mom (especially Nick's mom) got worried that we wouldn't be able to bowl, even though she made reservations. But eventually we got to bowl though.

Like I said before, I suck at bowling. SUCK. The first three games I didn't even make it out of the teens while everyone (except Alex who sucks too) was in the near hundreds. Nick and his mom..Hell, Jordan too, were serious bowlers. Nick and his mom had balls and everything. It was crazy. Once, haha, I even dropped the ball and everyone hid under the table. That was funny as what! I was crackin up! Lol, Nick did tell me a few things that made me get better by our last game. I ended up in fourth place the last game.

After three games it was time to coutdown. That itself was fun cause the bowling place was packed with loads of different drunk people. Also, I got a little shot of the bubbly! Lol, it was funny. Nick's mom got two glasses of champagne and slipped each of us a little. I seriously think that bubbly affected me, cause after that I was really warm and really outgoing. When we were posing for pics after the coutdown I got on the floor and laughed and everything. I also covered myself in string, hehe.

The DJ at the bowling place was amazing. Seriously, she was. She kept everyone pumped, and she even had dance contests. Both of which I entered! Hehe, it was line dancing, and it was like the group closest to her (us) against the pool table people. The first line dance (well, the second of the entire night, but the first one of the contest) was the Casper Slide (I had asked for that the whole night). It was funny cause the lady would change the tempo to really fast and to really slow and see who could still keep up. We won. God, it was fun! The second one was the booty bounce or something and by then everyone on our side was dead tired. We still did the dance though, but we lost. I fell out a couple of times from exhaustion, but it was good. My tummy hurt after word. I never knew how much I like to dance! I'm not good at it, you won't go blind looking at me but I'm not JLo (or some other good superstar dancer).

Speaking of dancing, I completely ROCK at Dance Dance Revolution. I beat everyone I played at that game. I mean, I only played Nick (twice) but he is a great dancer. I even got an A once, landing every move a "perfect" or "great". It was amazing. That game is sooo fun! I should buy it or something. Or, I should just play the Mario version I have. I'll play the Mario version. But anyway, it was fun. I really like that game. We played Beginner both times, but even with that some of the songs were really hard. But it was fun. I can't describe it. Now, everytime I see a DDR thingy in the movie theater or mall or ANYWHERE I HAVE to play it! Wow, it was fun.

After that we left, me covered in string and completely happy, and everyone else tired. I felt pumped up after that night. When I got home I just went to sleep. It was kinda hard though...

I feel so teenage! That's what teenagers do right? They go out and have fun, act goofy, and dance. Man, what am I missing out on?! Lol, don't worry blog, I'm not gonna leave my hermit roots that quickly. I still like my house a lot.

My Resolutions for 2007:

1.TO do something (ex. draw, crochet) and stick to it. Meaning, not starting something new and dumping it in a few weeks. I am famous for doing this, quiting stuff, but I need to stop it. Now.

2. Read more. I already read a lot, but I'm slacking off. I don't know if it's school, or the fact that the majority of the time I'm surrounded by people who loathe reading. I say it's the former, but I need to read more. I wanna stay smart; live up to my name.

3.Draw more. You could say this goes in the first resolution, but I'm gonna make this one stand out. I just wanna get better at drawing. I mean, I know I have talent, but until it gets on that paper (or, exists) it's no good.

4. GO out more. Now, leave my house once a week? No, but maybe once a month, or every six weeks. My pale skin misses the sun (not really, but I need some motivation to leave the house. Lack of a social life ain't doin it).

5.Calm down. These hormones make me a ticking time bomb; I'm almost always angry or yelling at people. So, I need to channel that anger ito something useful. I know it's natural for me to be angry (puberty anyone?) but I get tired of being that way all the time. I know if I keep it up my kids will hate me (lol, prematurely at least).

6.Stop being so lazy. This will never change, but it never hurts for a girl to dream.

Well, that's about it. This is basically the resolutions from last year. For some reason they're always the same.

Once, like two summers ago, I wrote down all the goals I wanted to accomplish in my 8th grade year. I totally forgot about the notebook with the goals until I was poking around last summer and found it. Out of the 15 goals, I had accomplished ten. I found that amazing. Even though I had completely forgotten about writing the goals, I still accomplished most of them. It was crazy. Some were like, lose weight, get an A+ in math, just trivial stuff, but I still did them. I don't know why I put this story, I just think it's funny. My subconscious mind is ALWAYS working, so hopefully it'll remember these goals throughout the year. Then, in 2008, I can say "Man, I accomplished mot of my resolutions!" I won't say that (I'm not THAT lame), but I'll be thinking along those lines.
